The Forest Pool & Garden Rooftop at Bisma Eight
Lush green ravines, enchanting forest surrounds and mystical views of Bali’s nearby volcanoes – Bisma Eight feels less like a boutique resort in the heart of Ubud’s cultural centre, and more like a remote jungle hideout in a faraway land. This tranquil destination promises magical “I Do” moments, with not one but two dazzling wedding venues. The Forest Pool is one of our faves, with a floating aisle and jungle setting that’s straight out of a fairytale. It sits high up in the treetop canopies, suspended over the resort’s western-facing infinity pool, so that as you stand beneath a tropical arch over gently rippling water, a candy-coloured sky makes for the most breathtaking, natural backdrop. This dream-like destination is best suited to a larger celebration, whilst the lush Garden Rooftop venue is perfect for a more intimate occasion. Surrounded by flora and fauna, this elevated al-fresco spot quite literally takes Bali’s nuptial game to the next level, with its exotic flowers, lush green aisle and live musicians that add to the forest harmonies. No matter which venue you choose, Bisma’s team of wedding professionals are experts in upping the romance, ready to take care of every detail, from the gourmet food and wine, to bountiful flowers, decor and more.
Best for: A boutique wedding in a fairytale forest setting
Guestlist: Maximum of 100 guests at the Forest Pool & up to 80 guests at the Garden Rooftop.

The Cliff-Edge Cabana at Alila Villas Uluwatu
The wedding venue of all wedding venues. The Cliff-Edge Cabana at Alila Villas Uluwatu is one of our all-time fave wedding destinations. If you haven’t already fallen head over heels for this iconic resort, then this architectural wonder will surely sweep you off your feet. We’ve all seen that gravity-defying birdcage-like structure that sits dizzyingly high over the cliff’s edge. Well, the Cliff-Edge Cabana is yet another impossibly designed destination, but this one is reserved exclusively for brides and grooms. Just as jaw-dropping as its predecessor, The Cliff-Edge Cabana has been specifically designed with weddings in mind, complete with an aisle that looks as though it extends to the edge of the earth, and gorgeous gardens all around for sunset soirees, starlit banquets and those all-important bridal party pics. Did we mention you can book out the entire resort for your exclusive use, too? Move aside, Beyonce.
Best for: Superstar service in an iconic, world-class setting.
Guestlist: Maximum 120 guests, or book out the whole resort for utmost exclusivity and glamour.

The Glass House at Tirtha Bridal
Tirtha Bridal has long been renowned as one of Bali’s swankiest and most swoon-worthy wedding destinations. Its dazzling collection of venues have upped the glam stakes for Bali’s brides-to-be, with our fave being The Glass House. Just as its name suggests, this stunning outdoor venue is laced with sleek glass exteriors and reflective decor, designed to capture both moon and starlight. This unique (and oh-so dreamy) architecture is then paired with a fairytale garden concept reminiscent of an enchanted forest – the nifty work of Singapore-based landscapers, Salad Dressing. With so much open and manicured space to play with, the setup options here are endless. There are three gorgeous bedrooms, a garden with a spill-out deck, a greenhouse area, a pool terrace, an exquisite lobby-lounge, the breathtaking Yellow Bamboo Garden adorned with vibrant orchids, and the Plumeria Room with its glass walls that reveal the enchanted forest out yonder. Any wedding here is set to be a stunner.
Best for: An elegant occasion in a fairytale environment.
Guestlist: Maximum 150 guests.

White Dove Chapel
at Banyan Tree Ungasan Bali
The Banyan Tree Ungasan opens up the marvelous wedding chapel of the White Dove that I have had the opportunity of visiting on a work-trip. One of the coolest benefits of being a fashion designer is being called to custom fit a bridal attire directly at the wedding venue, and this is how I had ended up at White Dove Chapel.
Designed by the esteemed Indonesian architect, Sardjono Sani, the White Dove Chapel is designed with 300 ornamental white doves that cover the entire structure. This signifies the 4 ideals of love-purity, peace, love, and eternal matrimonial bliss! It is located about 70 meters above the sea level, stretching from the cliff edge and seems to be almost floating on the water.
The pure-white and glass interior of the chapel presents an enchanting view of the dazzling blue ocean. The bride, her maids, and the guests have to arrive via a white walkaway which looks like it’s hovering above the pools that are located around it.
Imperial Villa at Four Seasons Resort Bali at Jimbaran Bay

Imperial by both name and design, the Imperial Villa is a coveted destination right out of a glossy bridal mag. The two-storey layout not only offers stunning views across Jimbaran Bay, but provides countless opportunities for a wedding, reception and honeymoon destination all in one idyllic location. There are rooftop gardens with infinity-edge pools, thatched roof verandahs, a romantic oceanfront “Romeo and Juliet” balcony, and endless indoor and outdoor living areas for swanky cocktail parties, al fresco feasts, and of course, a fairytale ceremony that’ll leave you weak at the knees.

The Wedding Deck & Tresna Chapel at AYANA Resort & Spa Bali
As one of the world’s leading resorts, it’s no surprise AYANA Resort & Spa Bali has some exceptional wedding venues to suit – 11 to be exact. Our fave is located within the palatial AYANA Villa – a 3000sqm secluded, cliff-edge venue with its own wedding deck that appears to float above the Indian Ocean. Now that’s magic. But if you’re after something more traditional, try the Tresna Chapel – a fully air-conditioned venue with shimmering ocean views, a private driveway with porte-cochere, a VIP Bridal Villa, and a see-through glass aisle with a flowing, stone-lined river beneath leading to the magnificent glass altar. As far as heavenly weddings in paradise go, it doesn’t get much dreamier than this.
Best for: A stunning collection of venue options, each with incredible views and distinctive setups.
Guestlist: Maximum 200 guests at AYANA Villa & up to 80 guests at Tresna Chapel.

Mandapa A Ritz Carlton Reserve
The Mandapa Reserve is a dreamy Bali outdoor wedding venue that is surrounded by lush and beautiful paddy fields on all sides and possesses a backdrop composed of lofty, rolling hills all around.
But the show-stopping element of the venue is the lavish Ayung River that gushes right by it.
The venue actually offers 6 ceremony venues and 3 different restaurants for the couple to choose from for their wedding reception.
So, you either have your wedding by the river or by the bright green terraced rice fields (Wedding At Rice Terrace Deck). Or even at the cliff-edge venue, known as the Sky Wedding at Wantilan!
The resort also allows you to a private outdoor ceremonial reception at the magnificently adorned dining area of the hotel.
The resort of the Sthala Ubud in Bali is located on the top of a hill that overlooks the mystical river valley- straying far away from the busy and bustling streets filled with people. The location fills up the senses with the view and sounds of the River Wos gushing by it. The village of Lodtunduh that envelops the resort, provides spellbinding natural views of the sunsets, lapping up the entire setting in the mysterious Balinese aura.
The Sthala Ubud offers 4 main wedding scenes– Abing Terraces, Sthala Wedding Chapel, Naga Rooftop Bar & Lounge and the Wos Riverside Deck. Each of these comes with a different backdrop and caters to both elaborate and private ceremonies.
The Chapel is located on the 8th floor with a sweeping view of the Lodtunduh village and the riverside deck location looks out on a Balinese Temple and the “Bridge of Love” that lies across the Wos. And these are some of the marvelous sights of this wedding venue at Ubud that will enchant your eyes to no end!
So, if you’re in Bali, looking for a beach wedding destination, there’s no way you should miss out on the Samabe Bali Suites & Villas . The venue provides ravishing vistas of the great India Ocean making it the backdrop for your perfect beach wedding with toes dipped in the white sand and clear blue water.
The Samabe Bali Suites & Villas offers a total of 6 different wedding packages out of which the sought after ones are the Bali Beach Wedding and the Dream Wedding by the Beach Cave.
And if you can’t put a finger on either one, then go for the Pearl Chapel Wedding Package. This opens up the glass-windowed Pearl Chapel up for your wedding with a 180-degree view of the Ocean and beaches framing it, along with a lighted bridal walkway for your special moment!
Balangan Cliff Wedding
The Balangan Cliff that is situated right outside Jimbaran is the kind of Bali elopement wedding venue that you must have only seen in movies. This high cliff provides an astonishingly stunning view of the Indian Ocean with a hypnotizing skyline as the backdrop to your wedding.
The place is an ideal one for small private ceremonies and can capacitate a maximum of 20 guests.
It allows for ceremonial functions that include Renewal of Vows Blessing, Commitment Ceremonies and Legal Weddings. Additionally, you could also choose to have your ceremonies or afterparty receptions at the Balangan Beach in the Bukit peninsula with the wind and sand on your skin and spirit!
For a unique beach wedding that brings in a cliff-top view as well, it really doesn’t get better than this.
So, that was some of the best wedding venues in Bali that possesses an otherworldly beauty, to say the least. And, in my opinion, this is precisely what you should have at your wedding day that marks a new life for you.
I hope you found my efforts to be useful! Please leave a comment below if you have any other suggestions for beautiful wedding venues in Bali.
